Two pieces of identification are required to sign real estate documents. All identification must be original, valid and signed. They need to be two primary pieces or one primary and one secondary.

Lawyers have an obligation to verify a client’s identity before or at the time that the lawyer provides legal services. This is generally done at the time that the client meets with the lawyer to sign their real estate documents.
