Did you know that you don’t “own” most of the beach. The Province owns the land up to the “Present Natural Boundary” of Okanagan Lake (usually this is the high water mark). Therefore all docks, and the rights to use them are held “at the pleasure of the Crown” through grants of “SPECIFIC PERMISSION”. This means that, on Okanagan Lake your rights to use, maintain and build are subject to your LICENSE OF SPECIFIC PERMISSION.
